We lost the wings of fire.....

I am still in shocked state thinking about the loss we have undergone in the past days.... I thought of writing about our dear Lt. A.P.J.Abdul kalam but thought myself to be not deserving enough to write about such a great personality.... But as he always liked to be along the common man it gave me a sense of responsibility to write about him with my heart felt respect ,about a great personality like him. I missed an opportunity of a lifetime a few years back....when I missed the bus to be able to meet him face to face ,when he had come to our college, just after he was sworn The President of the country!!! It is like crying over spilled milk but still I feel like I have met him personally. Yes, it is through his books that have imprinted his thoughts and values in me. Reading his WINGS OF FIRE and IGNITED MINDS made me think that he is talking to me!!! I am sure many a followers of his might have felt the same way as me isn't it? I used to feel those wings of fire in me and fu

Remember the most preetiest girl in your school and you will be engulfed with all time low self esteem... And the reason for it is everybody in the school knows her and is a friend of her. Even the most strict teachers would have obeliged her a few times isn't it?? And you might have wondered why? Her charm you would have tried to emulate but failed miserably.... that confidence is not every bodies cup of tea!!!! But in today's world it is the problem of yesteryears. With everybody equipped with a magic wand called the smartphone everybody is a star!!!! Nobody has to be as talented except to know how to click some pictures and some minimal knowledge to Photoshop!!! Even that is not required with per loaded apps. It has helped boost a lot of dwindling confidence lately but for every service you have to equally pay a price isn't it???? And what you get back is constant anxiety to remain in public eyes!!! You might be having a lot of friends digitally but a very few real on

tug-of-war.....this monsoon?????

The rain God blessed everyone lately this time around but still there was relief when it arrived.isn't it??? While every street, lane, and by lane where flodded with water still there continues a dry spell in our capital!!! I am not talking about its street which is equally flooded but our very own Parliament.... Monsoon session started a few days back but still no work!!!!! The general public is left to the apathy of their chosen one...  Is it not possible to avoid such disruptions? Who is responsible for the loss of time and money of the tax payers??? Don't it require a rules change which were made after independence? A rule which was apt during independence does not mean will be fruitful after so many years. Such disruptions should not be allowed in today's time. Their are so many important issues which should require the support of both the sides to take our country ahead. I remember Mr.Obama in one of his speeches warned his fellow country students that,Indian and C

how we felt until now 3

I remember travelling by train to Delhi some 12 years back. We were going because I had my exams. So father planned a small vacation along with. Exams and vacation together.....seems impossible!!!! But yes that is the case. Father is a mastermind of such trips!!!! So such short trips are a relief because more than the exams it is the sight seeing I am most interested in!!! But still until the exams there is a certain amount of tension for me. So during the journey I sometimes take out my books to read. But it is impossible to concentrate!!! We were nearing Delhi and everyone was so excited. The train halted somewhere without a station. We all were growing impatient. Suddenly out of nowhere some hinjra(eunuch) entered our compartment and demanded money from everybody. It is mostly the boys whom the go to. People out of fear gave them money. In India there blessings is thought to be auspicious and their curse equally effective. Whoever tried not giving them money , they stars touching a

Science and Myth....

I come from a very liberal family.God has a very special place in my life. Now a days people  worship God more out of fear than love. Praying is more like a day to day activity, like reading newspaper for some but love for God is what missing out now a days. Everything which is rationalized has its importance in todays world. Science has its special place today in people's lives. Today everything around us is someway or the other related to science. From the day electricity was generated till today, we have come a long way. Thanks to science I am able to come to a big city from a small town. Like everyone I love my phone a lot. I love my pizzas which has come from such far away places with their distinct ingredients. Life has become so easy and enjoyable. I think the main thing for the acceptance of science is its availablility to us easily. Another main reason is that a common man has never being able to see God with his or her own eyes. But this is absolutely wrong because e

success stories....

Whenever I see an interview of a successful person there are a lot off difficulties as well as tears behind it. It used to appear to me a little melodramatic!!! I mean ,come on there is so much hardship around us, people even don't have proper food and roof over them and still they don't bragg about it so much... Remember the movie hindi movie Rockstar, how the protagonist searches for a formula to make it big in his career and eventually leads a troubled life!!! Well, that was a movie but the fact is whatever we humans do is inspired from our real life, isn't it? It is in my gene maybe to read books as both my parents are a avid reader. I remember my father bringing "manorama" for my mother and comics and  ' wisdom'  for me. I would grab my copy and run inside to read it. Oh! I am felling nostalgic already!!! Anyways, thanks to my parents due to them I acquired a very good habit. I read about a lot of great personalities. Their life stories inspires me

Golgappa!!!

The king of Indian snack ,"the golgappa"!!!! Yes, it even got registered inself into the Oxford dictonary recently. I remember gorging on this mouth watering snack every time we went on an outing with my family. Once a week the golgappa wala used to come to our lane ringing its iconic bell. With the sound of the bell every child used to run out with a rupee or two. At that time , with one rupee we could easily get ten golgappas!!! Isn't it sounds surreal now? It is. We used to eat to our heart content leaving no place for dinner. Then our mother used to wake us saying that, if we sleep with an empty stomach then we would get bad dreams. We would awake with fear and finish our dinner half heartedly. By the time we reached college life, we could eat 8 golgappas with a five rupees. Its size also decreased Considerably. A golgappa is a golgappa , it cannot be left whatever may be its price. Recently, you will get around 6 golgappa including papdi!!! Can you imagine its pr

Ban...Ban...Ban!!!

Today's heading seems to be a little dramatic, isn't it? But I can assure that its content is absolutely not.     I remember helping my sister in her project about wildlife conservation. I diligently researched its content and gradually came to know about the issue explicitly. I was disturbed regarding the sorry state of animals  in the slaughter house. I was shocked to know the there are some countries who has already banned the import of leather from our country to stop the cruelty inflicted on the animals.  I don't know how far banning beef from the menu will help to stop cruelty against animal. Maggi ban was another such incident. I was impressed by the speed of implementation of the action against it. I sometimes miss the  2 min delight but it is OK what is bad is bad. I know some lazy mothers who feed their children with this 2 min magic food and completely disturb the child's  internal mechanism leading to serious complications in children. But isn't it f

Set free....

When we are kids we felt so carefree. Spent time cuddling up with parents, sleeping for hours without any effort, playing endlessly ....everything  now seems so surreal. Once we start going to school everything changes. It is our first step to the real world. Some accept the challenge ahead by happily going to school and for some it is a nightmare , but still we think we have our parents to shield us from all the difficulties.  What I liked about school the most was the annual day celebration. This is the day to showcase the talent of the students other than studies. Isn't it great that a few hours of preparation is enough to give there best performance!!! Whenever there comes a guest in the house parents proudly show their kids  achievements in sports or dancing or singing. They even enroll their little ones to such schools where thy can learn more on those fields. When you are reaching your boards, everthing else other than studies , comes to a halt. We start mugging up day
